Install LED strip lights on your RV
Просмотров 4,2 тыс.9 месяцев назад
In this video I show how I added led strip lighting under the awning of my 2003 Safari Trek RV. LED lights provide a lot of light and give a modern look to older RV’s. This is a relatively simple project. The hardest part is locating where you will tap into 12v power and how you will control the lights. I tied my lights into my existing porch light which made things super easy. Here’s my affili...

In this video, I install a FMF q4 exhaust on my 2019 CRF 450L. The bike already has a Vortex ECU, Stealy weighted flywheel, and Reckluse Clutch. It said this video is eight years old! It’s Still helping me in 2024! Thanks so much for making it!
Your mods are awesome man. Thanks for the detail and well made videos! Not a big fan of cops but I'll bet you're one of the good ones.
I know this is several years later but for the next time you have to replace the booster use 178-1036 or the 178-1040 are the part numbers you want to use so you do not have to dick around with the push rod. Here are some tips for anyone getting ready to do this awesome upgrade .... The 178-1040 is much cheaper than the 1036 btw, buy new GM and do not mess with remans unless you want to do this twice- the majority of them end up leaking The pushrod eye is slightly larger than the old one - just take some roof flashing and roll it around the bolt shoulder one turn or make a bushing if you have a lathe. Tie up the master cylinder to the frame and unbolt it from the HB - saves a couple hours not having to bleed the brakes. Back out the stud threads , that will give you some working room removing the HB mess- remember they are reverse thread . Most p30 fwd control chassis have an adjustable end on the big long vertical rod connects to the HB bell crank - I turned mine in 1.5 turns and kept my pedal height and didn't have to mess with the brake switch adjustment if you do not have this just leave it be and readjust your brake switch, the pedal height change is minimal and not worth the headache of changing that pushrod, Buy a cheap transmission cooler and plumb it in the steering return hose- don't worry about the HB circuit as it is not moving fluid until the brakes are pressed... the PS is the big heat generator. Fluid - Any TES-295 fluid is going to fare better than inferior GM or any power steering fluid in hot ambient temperatures - Mobil 1 Delvac,, Castrol transynd, Royal Purple Max-EZ will not boil over. I hardly hear the "shhhh" or any pump whine when turning with the TES fluid. Put new rotors and calipers along with this HB and you better secure shit in your cabin... half my bedroom ended up near the cockpit during road tests !
I used the same 178-1040, in my case I used some thin wall brass hobby tubing to make a bushing K&S 3402 Round Brass Telescopic Tubing (this is a variety pack, I think I used the 19/32 OD size, this was a perfect fit, tight enough I had to clean up the bolt with fine sand paper and use some oil lube to get it on the shaft) and cut off a short section with a Dremel cut off wheel and sanded it down to length. The linkage is slightly shorter than factory, but within he adjustment range for the brake stop and cruise control switches on the pedal bracket. On the topic of replacing the master cylinder, I am glad I changed mine after finding a lot of grit and corrosion inside.
@@MrPenguinLife I replaced my master cylinder last year before going mountain climbing so the fluid and master was good so I just diverced the MC from the HB. Knowing this rig was gonna see a lot of NC area mountain back roads less traveled I flushed the fluid and used Pentosin super DOT 4 I am only 13k pounds on an older 1986 Monitor/HRC with an 8.1 shoved in it so it does great stopping and going
I never bothered as I never knew there was *that* much space.
Well done Sir thank you.
what was the part number for the Master Cyl was it a workhorse or GM
I used an AC Delco 18M949 priced at $105 on Amazon ($10 less than I paid last year), this appears to be an exact match to the original 2002 Workhorse branded part, with the possible exception of as finished surface texture.
Thank you for the helpful video! The repair took way longer, and I also had to loosen the bracket (2 additional bolts) to the left of the starter in order to get the starter out. I just couldn't maneuver it like you did until I did that.
Thanks. That's exactly like my 2012.
I have the exact same bike awesome
Thanks this is brilliant it will save me a lot of time and solves a few problems 🎉
Excellent video. By far the best one out there. Thank you for making this so doable and easy.
Awesome thank you
I know this is 2 years old but I think you may be misreading your torque procedure wrong. All of our Danas have taper bearings and they are never final torqued. The GM manual calls for 50 lb/ft preload, back off loose then 35 lb/ft then back off 1/4 turn. the lock nut gets 66 lb/ft You want .001 - .010" play on the hub. The Rockwell 12" is the only one that gets a final preload on the bearings as they are barrel style bearings - gets 50 then back off an 1/8th turn with 250 lb/ft on the lock nut
Where the follow up video?
Thank you Mr Life Saver! only thing i will add. I was able to perform this with out removing the water hose. I used a bungy cord to tie the hose up attached to the lift hook.
Link doesn’t work
I cannot thank you enough .... 4 hours on the phone trying to get a representative, another 3 hours having tried finding different solutions... didn't know I need to be an engineer to figure out how to scan.
🔥🔥🔥
The 8mm bolt that holds the little bracket doesn't go into a hollow section, you can leave it off, just clean the threads out if you were to reuse it for some reason in the future. You can put your head in there and see it.
Maybe a couple of solderless connectors, a small cheap multimeter and some fuses.
Great kit! The storage solutions are brilliant.
Helped me with my 2013 Kia Forte starter replacement. Thanks😊
My axle shaft wont pull off any tips
Did the ecu help lighten up the god awful engine breaking?
Part # or link for the header you got I had to modify my fmf q4 to fit shock header on the 2022 450RL
What happened if i take off the tube longer and only use the tube short
Luv it
Carplay is far superior to any brand of GPS, right up until you lose cell service. Then you’ll wish you still had your GPS.
thats what offline maps are for. I always download maps for the entire east coast US. Takes up a 40gigs or so but my phone has plenty to spare...
@@mchad8876 But I don't stick just to the east coast, or any coast. In the last year I have been coast to coast, border to border twice. 26,000 miles in the last 14 months. That would be a LOT of offline maps....
great video. i have same workhorse chassis. can't find front passenger side brake hose. do you by chance know the part # ? or what parts store carry them?
Thank you for this
thank you so much..😸
nice
Where did you locate the hub specs for your P32? *I’m working on P42 w/ Dana 80, but unable to locate any diff specs
Thank you
is the email address I'm putting in my email or should I be creating a new email specifically just for the printer?
My 2003 F250 seat back flips down when you press a lever on the side. What year did ford stop doing that?
Can you still control calls and music from the cardo unit or from carpuride or both?
You saved my life with this, man. I had given up on getting this starter out, which meant losing my job, being out on the street, turning to crime, prostitution, and the brief respite offered by drugs. You really helped me out. That sounds like a joke, but that's the reality of being in a tough spot with no options.
Thank you, great video, my son and I replaced our starter.
I like that you are very detailed but you don’t take forever to explain everything you are straight to the point but you make sure it’s easy enough to learn
hi, what do you mean by gmail password? some of us have 2 step authentication. Is there a way for that? thank you
Thanks. Helped me out a lot.
What year is this optima? Great video
What year, make and model?
caution! Don't buy from rock auto. The right part number with the correct picture came in as a drum instead of a rotor for the rear and they have no way of helping you. Stuck for 2 freights now. coming and going. Now I know why the price was so good
you gotta be REAL careful with their verbiage as there is what seems like 6000 different combos - at the end of the day you need to look for your brake package code. the JF9 is 4 wheel disc independent front suspension, JB5 is 11" drum rear, JB7 is vacuum boost, front disc w 13" rear drum, JB8 hydroboost front disc/ rear drum and even more codes for single and dual rear wheels and I beam front suspension.
They are called Rear Spindle Nut Set with Ratchet Style Spindle Nuts
Just my luck. Took my 2004 P32 axle out and the lock nut is a ratchetting lock nut. Ever see one of them. I think it preloads at 50 ft lbs and then release and snug up to zero lbs. Any information would be appreciated. Have nice day.
Adding a comment to bump.
hi can you tell me ( or do you know ) the torque spec you pur on the front spindle nut if you evr change the bearings on this 5 studs hub thank you
Thank you
